COPENHAGEN (EJP)---Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said that radical Islamic elements "misuse" the democratic tools granted to them by the European countries in order to radicalize relations within these countries and at the same time also increasing and encouraging anti-Semitic phenomena.

He made the statement this week during a visit to Denmark where he met with several government ministers, including his counterpart Per Stig Moeller.

Lieberman expressed his appreciation of Denmark as a true friend of Israel and noted the flourishing economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries.

At a memorial ceremony for Danish Jews who were sent to the nazi Terezinstadt concentration camp, Lieberman laid a wreath in their memory. He paid tribute to the Danes who risked their lives to save Jews who were to be sent to their deaths at the hands of the Nazis, and said Denmark will always hold a special place in the history and in the hearts of the Jewish people.

Today, Lieberman said, “we are again facing elements who threaten to destroy the Jews, not only those living in Israel.”

"The Iranian regime is funding terrorist activity throughout the world, and particularly against Jews. The state of Israel is responsible for all Jewish communities in the world, and all Jewish communities are responsible for the state of Israel," he said.
